Heart Attack – gehäkelte Herzen zum Valentinstag für meine Hood

I did it! On Valentine’s Day I packed my baby in her baby sling, the crocheted hearts in a tote bag, grabbed the camera and went on my way to add some love to and heart my district. It was so much fun and really exciting to place my little love notes in the streets and take pictures of them. For the first hearts I chose a quiet street with no people who could watch me while placing the hearts, but after a while I became more courageous and hung up the hearts in parts of the district that were more crowded by people. And although I became more confident the more hearts I placed, I never lost the feeling of doing something illegal and that any moment, there would be someone tapping my shoulder and yelling at me what the hell I was doing. But nothing like that happened, I guess people who live in the Schanze are used to see people doing weird stuff. So I am really happy that I actually did this …

Valentine’s Yarn Bombing

Yay, I’m going to yarn bomb the Schanze (the district of Hamburg we live in) with tiny, crocheted hearts on Valentine’s Day. This idea came to my mind some days ago and I thought I wouldn’t make it to crochet enough hearts but… at last, I managed it! Even if you don’t like Valentine’s Day for whatever reason. And especially when you feel lonely because the one you love is not in town or because you’re not in a relationship but rather would be. I want my little hearts to remember everybody who sees them that love is not just about this one day, a big gesture, an expensive gift or the perfect decoration on your Valentine’s date. It’s about the little things and about being nice to other people and showing them that you love them throughout the year. It’s about buying a flower for the old …

I Lost My Heart

image source I am officially in love with this coat, created by Blutsgeschwister. I love the colors, the pattern, the pockets and most of all, I love the heart shaped flap! It’s too cute! It’s really sad that I won’t be able to fit into this wonderful coat because of my watermelon sized baby bump and I will probably even need some time after giving birth to have a waist that looks good in it, but hopefully, I will be able to get the coat next autumn. For those of you who are lucky enough to fit in regular coats right now, the coat is available at ModCloth.
